Job Title:                             Industrial Electrician (skilled)

Contract:                            Full time

Working hours:                Fortnightly 84hours

Reporting to:                   Automotive Senior Manager

Scope:

Install, maintain and repair the factory and residential electrical systems.

​

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, components, as well as safety codes and regulations. Must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.

Primary responsibilities and operational tasks:

• Reading and interpreting specifications and blueprints

• Installing, servicing, and repairing conduits, wiring, and fixtures

• Conducting electronic inspections and tests

• Grounding electrical systems

• Servicing generators, motors, and high voltage systems

• Performing electrical work on environmental regulating systems, pumps, and industrial lighting systems

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty equipment and industrial communications systems

• Cleaning circuit boards and contacts

• Oiling motors and replacing wiring

• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components

• Working with programmable logic/automation controls

Qualifications:

NATTB Trade certificate or any other trade qualification in electrical

Possesses PNG Power Electrical License

 

Experience:

At least 5-10years’ work experience in all the facets of preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical controls and distribution equipment.

Experience in HVAC systems is an advantage
