Job Title:                    ICT Account Manager

General Purpose

ICT Account Managers manage sales of computer hardware, software and services to existing account clients and identify further sales opportunities within these accounts, build new account clients, manage customer satisfaction and retention, and coordinate the preparation and presentation of ICT sales proposals and tenders.

​

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Compiles lists of prospective client businesses using trade directories and other sources.

  • Acquires and updates knowledge of employer's and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions.

  • Follows up with clients to ensure satisfaction with ICT goods and services purchased, arranges modifications and resolves any problems that arise.

  • Visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities

  • Assessing customers' needs and explaining the goods and services which meet their needs

  • Promoting employers' ICT goods and services to existing and prospective clients

  • Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording orders

  • Arranging delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services

  • Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of ICT goods and services

  • Preparing sales reports, and maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience in Customer Success and/or Account Management

  • Dynamic personality, able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels of a business

  • Confident communication (written and oral) skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organizations

  • A focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables

  • Business insight, sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing complex client relationships

  • Project and program management experience; knowledge of key concepts including phases, plans, deliverables, scope and tasks

  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations

  • Passion about business and dissatisfaction with status  – always thinking of ways to improve/grow assigned clients

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Working knowledge and experience with contracts and contract negotiations

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remain motivated

  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft office suite of services

  • Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels of a business

  • Project and program management experience; knowledge of key concepts including phases, plans, deliverables, scope and tasks
