Today, Cricket PNG and Boroko Motors launched this year’s edition of the ISUZU T20 SMASH with a media event at the Boroko Motors showrooms at Waigani. Attended by key Boroko Motors and Cricket PNG staff, and the men’s and women’s captains of each of the four franchise teams, the launch promoted Boroko Motors strong partnership with Cricket PNG.
Cricket PNG CEO, Richard Done, said, “Today we announce the launch of the ISUZU T20 SMASH and the second year of the partnership with Isuzu and Boroko Motors. We are proud of the relationship we have with Boroko Motors and I’d like to thank General Manager, Liza-Marie Brooks, and National Sales Manager, Donovan Brooks, for their continued support.”
“The ISUZU T20 SMASH is the premier T20 competition in PNG and this year we’re excited to have 15 players from outside Port Moresby, as part of our desire to recognize new talent across the country. Alongside these regional players, we have both senior and U19 national players, and the best performers from the Port Moresby’s cricket Association last year.”
Donovan Brooks, National Sales Manager of Boroko Motors, said “Boroko Motors confirmed that ISUZU is continuing as the naming rights sponsor for the ISUZU T20 SMASH. The ISUZU T20 SMASH has become one of the most exciting and anticipated cricket tournaments in PNG, bringing together talented cricketers from across the nation. The partnership between Cricket PNG and Boroko Motors will continue to help in fostering the next generation of cricket stars by providing them with the resources and competitive platform they need to excel.”
“I’d encourage all cricket fans to come out and support the best cricketers in PNG in the ISUZU T20 SMASH, with the Men’s event starting this Friday 4 April.”
