Primary objective of the job:

The role is to be customer focused while maintaining and implementing both BM Power Generations mission statement.



Number of persons managed/supervised and their positions:



Main Duties and Responsibilities: (maximum of 10 duties)

  • Plan and manage day to day duties in sales dept.

  • Ensure daily pre call planning and research (PCPR)

  • Ensure daily activity rates are high (5 customer visits per day)

  • Establish, qualify and maintain contact with assigned customers to increase and generate power generation sales & service leads

  • Provide customers with solutions to meet their specific requirements after thoroughly analysing needs

  • Plan visits for the following week in the system

  • Input CRM reports after each visit (admin day)

  • Continually update the customer’s equipment population, contacts, mobile and office phone information, address and other customer relationship management information

  • Promote all aspects of BM power generation business by promoting Parts and service sales through formal service contracts

  • Build strong relationships with customers and be their primary point-of-contact in the business, and at the dealership

  • Advise customers on power generation solutions by understanding how customers use their gensets within their business, organize their generator life cycles, and determine their maintenance intervals

  • Build customer loyalty by following up on service or parts orders, assuring requests are addressed in a timely manner, and by networking within customer accounts

  • Continuously follow up on quotes towards our customers



  • More than 3 years’ experience in sales most preferable in the similar role.

  • Must be computer literate in order to understand & work within BM power generation computer systems.

  • Must have a valid driving license class 6 or 3 (unrestricted).

  • Grade 12 leaver or Diploma holder

  • Can work without supervisor and team player

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have clean and tidy appearance.

  • Must be a Team player

  • Perform according to Health and Safety Standards (OHS) § Strong interpersonal skills with better understanding of customers and their needs.

  • Analytical, accountability skills

  • Commercial awareness

Internal: Power Generator advisor and Power Generator Technician with various companies

under WR group.

External: Company’s major clients & customers, local vendors etc
