Job Title: Product Support Officer

General Purpose
Providing support and assistance in the process of import clearance activities.
Involves collaborating with Shipping Line & Government Agencies to ensure smooth customs clearance and compliance with import regulations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and reviewing import documentation, such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate submission of import documents.

Monitor import shipments and track their progress to ensure compliance with delivery schedules.

Communicate and coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers to resolve any issues or delays in the import clearance process.

Provide administrative support in maintaining import records, including filing and organizing relevant documentation.

Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate payment of import duties, taxes, and other related charges.

Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to import compliance policies and identify areas for improvement.
Education, Training, Knowledge and Experience

Diploma / Certificate in Business and/or respective field
-
3+ Years Prior experience in import clearance or logistics operations is an advantage
-
Knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.

Coordination skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and customs authorities.

Proficiency in using relevant software applications for documentation and tracking purposes.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced import environment.

Problem-solving skills to address any issues or delays in the clearance process.

Familiarity with trade terms, Incoterms, and international shipping practices.

Working Conditions

Working 8am – 5pm weekdays, Monday to Friday

Alternative weekend 8am – 12md Saturday
