Job Title:  Panel Beater Spray Painter

General Purpose:

Restoring damaged vehicles by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust, repairing scratches, and spray painting panels.

 

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Repairing damage to metal, fiberglass & plastic body work on vehicles and form replacement panels.

• Assessing the external parts, restoration or customization requests

• Accommodating customized requests.

• Ensuring compliance to industry specifications and safety standards.

• Collecting information from customer and attending to their request

• Operating recovery vehicles

• Maintain walls, ceiling, and other surfaces by applying coatings and paints

• Apply paint by spraying, brush and roller

• Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning and priming

• Required to meet timeline set by customer.

• Regularly updating customers on the progress of their repairs

• Preparing repair/modification cost estimates and finalizing agreements.

• Providing customers with estimated time and cost for repairs.

• Planning and organizing and scheduling the workflow.

• Maintain a clean working environment

 

 

Prerequisites – (Essential Qualifications /Licenses & Experiences

• Trade certificate from a qualified NATTB approved institution

• Must be a qualified tradesman with 3 years experience in a dealership environment or similar.

• High School grade 12 Certificate

• In-depth knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques.

• Ability to work standing in a confine space

• Ability to see subtle color

 

 

Working Conditions:

• Working 8am – 5pm weekdays, Monday to Friday

• Alternative weekend 8am – 12md Saturday
