Job Title:  Diagnostic Technician

General Purpose:

Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems. Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans preventing costly equipment breakdowns. Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns including repairs.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and repairing of Diesel Engines from smallest to biggest horsepower engine

  • Understanding Electrical Safety on Generator Systems, LOTO procedure compliant

  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues and basic Electrical knowledge of Generators

  • Data analysis to assess performance of Generator with Controller access and operation

  • Ensuring compliance to industry specifications and safety standards.

  • Communicating with and providing support to the Power Generator Team Leader and a good team player, who will train & supervise apprentice and colleagues

  • Carryout site inspection, and assist providing the methodology of the Scope of Works for Standalone or Project and associated works with correct timeline.

  • Better understand of following correct SOP to troubleshooting, repairs for minor and major repairs, engine rebuild and testing of the engine to manufacturing standards

  • Documenting machine safety and maintenance

  • Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software.

  • Preparing repair/modification cost estimates and finalizing agreements.

  • Maintain a clean working environment

 

 

Prerequisites – (Essential Qualifications /Licenses & Experiences

  • Trade certificate from a qualified NATTB approved institution

  • Must be a qualified tradesman with 3 years experience in a dealership environment or similar.

  • High School grade 12 Certificate

Working Conditions:

  • Working 8am – 5pm weekdays, Monday to Friday

Alternative weekend 8am – 12md Saturday
