Job Title:    Assistant Manager HR Services

Position Description:

The position is a generalist profile performing all the Human Resources functions at the middle level management in WR (PNG) Ltd, Human Resource Department. Assistant Manager HR Service will be responsible for talent acquisition, responsible for apprenticeship program for dealerships, documentation, induction, performance monitoring, and confirmation process of the Human Resource Function. 

Role and Responsibilities: 
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop strategies to source the right candidates.  

  • Work closely in building employee relations across all levels and build a positive working environment. 

  • The key point in addressing grievances received from employees /able to handle Disciplinary Issues

  • Ensure quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.  

  • Communicate and coordinate the process involved in annual performance appraisal, assist in consolidation and finalization.  

  • Handle the entire employee life cycle from onboarding to Exit.  

  • Verify Process, and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, training, Organizing Apprenticeship Programs and performance evaluations.  

  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures 

  • Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.  

  • Assist with budget monitoring and payroll. 

  • Work closely with the department heads to gauge the open positions and provide regular updates to the heads on the progress of open positions. 

  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations  

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management

  • Member of PNG Human Resource Institute

  • 5+ years of experience in Similar Role

Skills/ Attributes:
  • Good understanding of human resources management in general

  • Knowledge of Labour laws and Legislation

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple demands, work under time pressures and meet deadlines

  • Conflict resolution and crisis management experience

  • Active Listening - Ability to listen, comprehend & have an eye for details.  

  • Initiative - Ability to assess and take initiatives independently.  

  • Result Oriented - End Result Time-Bound Delivery.  

  • Knowledgeable on Apprenticeship Program
