Job Title:                      Accountant

General Purpose

We are seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Accountants can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills. To ensure success, Candidate for this role should be prompt, honest detail-oriented, professional, and analytical.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Compiles lists of prospective client businesses using trade directories and other sources.

  • Acquires and updates knowledge of employer's and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions.

  • Follows up with clients to ensure satisfaction with ICT goods and services purchased, arranges modifications and resolves any problems that arise.

  • Visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities

  • Assessing customers' needs and explaining the goods and services which meet their needs

  • Promoting employers' ICT goods and services to existing and prospective clients

  • Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording orders

  • Arranging delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services

  • Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of ICT goods and services

  • Preparing sales reports, and maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred

Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

  • Familiar with Accounting Software

Knowledge and Experience

  • More than five years of experience

  • Knowledge in IFRS, General ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations and adjustments, Tax returns preparations, bank reconciliations and accounting software.

  • Experience in preparation of Financial Statements.

  • Analytical skills, attention to details and ability to work with the team

  • Must possess excellent communications skills


Working Conditions

Favourable working conditions. Employee is required to work a standard 84 hours per fortnight which incorporates a rostered Saturday
